'Rosier' means rosebush in French, and this weeding fork was designed specifically for weeding around roses. (Remember, as many French gardening tools as cheeses!) But this is a dandy tool for any kind of weeding. Lightweight but not light-duty, this little fork can slip in just about anywhere to pop out an interloping weed. The three tines are flattened for the bottom two-thirds of their length, for optimal prying power. Hand-forged of tempered steel with a smooth, waxed ash handle. (Click on the "1" under the main photo to see a picture of the weeding fork with handle.)
This ingenious fork is made by one of the oldest tool manufacturers in France, who have been in operation since 1751. With a research and testing lab right alongside their foundry, this company is what the French call
serieuse. We would say they're serious about their tools. And they are.
