Lettuce 'Pomme en Terre'

'Pomme en Terre' is so named because it forms a tight head very close to the ground. This succulent lettuce has semi-crisp, closely crinkled leaves that are a deep brilliant green. Flavor is juicy and sweet. Referred to by some sources as a romaine type, but the texture of the leaves is entirely different, resembling a cross between a bibb and a romaine.

Our French heirloom seed is produced organically by a small seed farm in central France. Its production process is monitored by France's rigorous Ecocert program which is a standard throughout the European community.
