Average to dry soils--Wild blue chicory

Wild blue chicory (Chicorium intybus)--sometimes called 'ragged robin' in the US--brings fragments of china blue sky to the earth of your garden. This wild plant of the lettuce family blooms with inch-wide, skyblue blossoms from late June onward, on stems to 18 inches tall. It is a biennial that will bloom the second year from seed and then resow itself. Chicory can even take high mowing from time to time, and will come back to rebloom with renewed vigor.

Plant wild blue chicory in a sunny location in almost any soil from spring through early fall.

I've searched for a year to find the right source of French native wildflower seeds to offer you. Here they are! Certified organically grown, these seeds are produced on a family flower farm in the Massif Central. One hundred percent of the process is artisanal, right down to the seed packets which are decorated with drawings of the content plants by the owner.
