Lacy white umbels blowing in the wind--that's wild white yarrow, a wonderful perennial wildflower that is perfect to anchor any meadow planting. With fragrant ferny foliage and flat clusters of pure white flowers all summer long, white yarrow is a plant that is as beautiful as it is tough, for it tolerates poor, heavy soils as well as drought. (Of course, it won't mind a more hospitable location!) White yarrow forms wide clumps with time, but is not invasive. It is also a medicinal herb of longstanding, and makes a great cutflower. White yarrow excels at attracting beneficial insects (those that predate harmful pests) to your garden. Our seed strain comes from wild plants found in the high central plateau of France.
I've searched for a year to find the right source of French native wildflower seeds to offer you. Here they are! Certified organically grown, these seeds are produced on a family flower farm in the
Massif Central. One hundred percent of the process is artisanal, right down to the seed packets which are decorated with drawings of the content plants by the owner.
