Few blossoms conjure up the feeling of an Old World wild garden more quickly than the golden orange daisies of pot marigold (Calendula officinalis. Treasured for millenia as a medicinal herb valuable for treatment of skin irritations and in shampoos, this native French wildflower has always had a place in the French gardener's heart. Pot marigold is an easy-to-grow hardy annual that blooms best during the cooler months. Plant in fall or early spring for spring and early summer blooming, or in mid-summer for fall blooming. Self-sows easily but not invasively. The blossoms are edible and the petals look lovely scattered over a salad. The big sunny disk-shaped flowers are also great in bouquets.

I've searched for a year to find the right source of French native wildflower seeds to offer you. Here they are! Certified organically grown, these seeds are produced on a family flower farm in the Massif Central. One hundred percent of the process is artisanal, right down to the seed packets which are decorated with drawings of the content plants by the owner.
