Average to dry soils--Rampion bellflower

Rampion bellflower (Campanula rapunculoides) was once cultivated for its delicous leaves and edible root.  If you love true 'field greens' in your salad bowl, you can too!  If not, grow this biennial for its graceful spires of skyblue bells in midsummer.  Prefers light, well-drained soils in full sun to light shade.
