Bring the flowers of the French countryside into your own backyard! This seed mix contains French wildflowers which are naturally found in cultivated fields and other disturbed grounds. It contains red wild Shirley poppy (
Papaver rhoeas), mauve pink agrostemma (
Agrostemma githago), golden marguerite (
Chrysanthemum segetum, blue flax (
Linum usitatissimum, the same flax used to weave linen), and airy white, tall, fragrant camomile (
Matricaria recutica), that you can use for herb tea.
These plants are all annuals that will begin flowering approximately 60 days after planting. Sow them in open, sunny, worked up ground. They will self sow perpetually with a little help. Full instructions in English included. Suitable for all parts of the US.
This mix may be combined with our following other seed mixes: 'Prairie Fleurie,' 'Belles Estivales,' 'Forgotten Flowers of the Middle Ages,' and 'Fleurs à Papillon.'
I've searched for a year to find the right source of French native wildflower seeds to offer you. Here they are! Certified organically grown, these seeds are produced on a flower farm in the
Massif Central by a family group. One hundred percent of the process is artisanal, right down to the seed packets which are decorated with drawings of the content plants by the owner.
