French tableware

From the same trio of designers as our "Choux" and "Salades" raku ware, these placemats take the idea to a new level. Made of French slate (ardoise) from Brittany, they are hand cut and then individually serigraphed with this beautiful natural botanical design. They are so breathtaking that you will almost not want to cover them with a plate. And you will certainly want to keep them within view when they're not in use.

Approximately 1/4" thick, they protect your table from heat as well. However, like all slate, they are fragile. Do not drop them or put them in the dishwasher. They may be wiped clean with a damp sponge or cloth.

Incidentally, the "Salades" and "Choux" plates look stunning on these place mats, as the colors are exactly complementary.
