Inspired by the 18th century art of découpage, and by a well-known French engraving of the jardinier (gardener) clothed in the fruits of his labor and bearing the tools of his trade, these placemats are hand-made in a Paris atelier. They are made of painted wood with a lacquer-like finish. The background is warm yellow with a green border. These are elegant placemats sure to grace any table.
