This square azalea pot is a decorative version of the utilitarian clay pots traditionally used in French horticulture for growing azaleas. Made by a family pottery in the heart of Provence, the azalea cche-pot combines the best of classic French and earthy Provençal design.
Since it has no drainage holes, the azalea pot is meant to be used as a
cche-pot, or "hiding pot," meaning that you use it to set another (plastic) pot inside. If you intend to water your plant while in the cche-pot, put a layer of pebbles in its bottom before adding the potted plant. When not inhabited by a plant, the azalea pot doubles as a vase. Available in moss green with an oak leaf motif or white with a grape cluster motif. Click on the number under the main photo to see an additional view.
